What a charming hotel! Apparently this was the first Hotel in Marbella (Correct me if Im wrong)..Either way it has this 'oldy-worldy' character that you couldnt recreate...including this wonderful old Moorish walled garden which was part of a fort where it gets its name from. Its great cos its still got all the mod-cons so you get the best of both worlds...and the gym and pool is fabulous. Yet to try the newer El Fuerte Miramar Spa Hotel down the road, but popped my head in and that looks great too...Well...maybe next time!

The Hotel el Fuerte was the first Hotel in Marbella! It reallly is full of charm. The facilities are not the most modern but there is a Tennis Cout, fully fitted gym, Squash and Paddle Tennis courts. The location of this Hotel and its gardens are fantastic.
